We give this bean a full city roast to highlight its complexities and to let the blackberry and bergamot aromas shine through. This coffee has a full and juicy body with pleasing acidity, concentrated sweetness, and black Earl Grey tea notes.
This single-origin coffee is an heirloom varietal from Yirgacheffe, Southern Ethiopia. Ethiopia is Africa’s third largest coffee producer, Ethiopia has a diverse and rich uniqueness when it comes to coffee. Throughout the country there are a variety of regional beans with their own unique, distinct flavor, which emanates from its specific geographical features. The coffee growing regions include: the south, the eastern highlands, the southwest as well as the Illubabor and Kaffa regions. Ethiopian coffees are characterized by: medium to full bodies, light acidity, fruity flavor and sweet notes.
This single-origin coffee comes to you from the hills of Intag, Ecuador
via a direct trade partnership between our friends at Cloud Forest
Coffee and a local farmers’ cooperative, Asociacion Agroartesanal de Cafecultores de Rio Intag
(AACRI) in Ecuador. AACRI was started by local families as a form of
resistance to the destruction and pressures of resource extraction by
foreign mining companies in the Intag region. It provides an alternative
and sustainable (economic and environmental) form of livelihood for
local people through coffee farming.
